Video stays on the device
AniHancer8 processes supported HTML5 video frames locally in the browser using WebGL/GPU acceleration. It does not upload video frames or source URLs to an AniHancer8 server and has no remote enhancement backend.
This policy explains how AniHancer8 handles video, website information, local settings, permissions, diagnostics, support contact, and uninstall behavior.
AniHancer8 processes supported HTML5 video frames locally in the browser using WebGL/GPU acceleration. It does not upload video frames or source URLs to an AniHancer8 server and has no remote enhancement backend.
The extension does not implement AniHancer8 registration, paid subscriptions, or a user-profile backend.
AniHancer8 uses Chromium extension-local storage for enhancement power/flows, Color Correction, themes, display mode, shortcuts, tutorial state, Performance Guard/Auto-Tune preferences, and optional hostname-based site profiles. These settings are not sent to the developer.
The extension contains no analytics SDK, advertising tracker, affiliate injection, fingerprinting system, mining behavior, or developer data-collection endpoint. Locally handled video, browsing activity, and saved settings are not sold or shared.
AniHancer8 requests access to HTTP and HTTPS pages because its purpose is to detect and enhance supported HTML5 video on websites chosen by the user, including cross-origin video-player frames that cannot be known in advance. This access is used for video detection, playback controls, local frame processing, and optional hostname-based profiles. It is not used to collect passwords, cookies, form contents, or browsing history.
The extension may locally read video dimensions, frame rate, playback state, and Chromium dropped/total-frame counters for diagnostics, Performance Guard, and Auto-Tune. AniHancer8 workload information is an estimate rather than direct hardware telemetry. These values are not transmitted to the developer.
Support contact occurs only when the user deliberately chooses to contact AniHancer8. The extension does not automatically attach or send video data, settings, hostnames, or browsing data. Information intentionally sent in an email is handled by the user's email provider and the AniHancer8 support mailbox.
When AniHancer8 is uninstalled, Chromium may open the public AniHancer8 uninstall-information page. The extension does not append settings, hostnames, video URLs, tab identifiers, tracking IDs, or other user data to that URL.
The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data handled by AniHancer8 is used only to provide or improve the extension's single video-enhancement and playback purpose, not for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, unrelated analytics, or sale.
